It's a classified ad so might be up for negotiation on price (£900 being asked)

Although it is a newer version I beleive that bits can be swapped across from a DeLorean engine to make it fit, apparently this has been done before by a chap in N.Ireland.

I guess this is the B280F engine. Those are much easier to get, I've found them as cheap as £500 running 40000 miles. but I'm afraid the electrics will be to complicated for me. They have a different Jetronic-system.

I don't think that's the correct engine........

It looks like it has the right sandwich plate and sump for a delorean though...

I've sent him an email... in German :o

And the car, from Georgia, had no anti-freeze fluid in it. So the engine has gotten worse and worse and now it has no compression on three of the sylinders. Both on top, in the middle and the bottom of the sylinders. So I guess the engine block is raptured.

So I'm looking for a new engine. Have been looking for an old Volvo in Norway and Sweden, but with no luck. But I'm still looking.

So if anyone knows of an engine somewhere, please let me know.

(and excuse any mistakes in technical explainations, I barely know the Norwegian terms)

I have loads of internals for B28E & B28F and cylinder heads, just no blocks, let me know what you need, I don't want a lot for them, you could even get the engine to the U.K. and get our resident club engine guru, Tourettes Tony rebuild it for you, much much cheaper than any Delorean parts supplier, and it will work as well!!!

How much will a rebuild like this cost? Nice to have the original engine in the car :)

Unless the block is knackered then I probably have all the parts to rebuild your engine as the only reason I swapped mine was because of a crack in the block.

I don't think it would be expensive to rebuild an engine, it really depends on what needs replacing.

And until you strip it down there's no way of telling.

So you're suggesting that I take out the engine and pluck it to pieces?
Problem is, I wouldn't know a plug from a cable (almost). And to get people to look at it here in Norway is way beyond expensive.
But I'll have a check to see if I can find someone who is willing.
And you will most likely have the spare parts I need?

Thanks for all the help from everyone so far, btw. You're all really doing what you can to help :)
