I sheared a head bolt on a PRV that Tone and I were making up a few years ago. I did get it out as well, Ideally you need to drill it out on a pillar drill, but you can do it with a hand drill. You'll need someone with you to eyeball for you to make sure you drill perfectly vertical on both axes. Center punch the middle of the bolt and start off drilling with a small drill 2.5-3mm and work your way up to about 1mm less than the ID of the hole, and then use an easy out to get the remainder out. To be honest I did have to Helicoil mine afterwards, plenty of patience you should be okay

Yeah I had an engine specialist recommended by James RG remove it. Unfortunately it had to be helicoiled though which doesn't do much for my OCD., but the bloke seems to think it will be ok. I am going to start a thread when I get time all about the rebuild.

I reckon that will be fine Dan, we had to Helicoil the head on my dads Triumph Dolomite and it was a tough as old boots when we tightened it up
