Jeez now yer like the Americans on the guitar forums I'm on!! Valves=tubes!!
Hood - as in bonnet, flat thing on the front.
T section as in roof T section.

.... but you knew that :-)

Yes I have a quote from Chris, I also know how much new ones are - so now the other option is a second hand one - if there is one out there in the UK?

I can't see a secondhand one being cheaper than a repair from Chris
But I could be wrong !

T Panel - if you let me know before the 12th October I can get Ed to bring one over and I can ship to you from here. These opportunities don't come very often, whilst Ed can send one direct from Holland, shipping will be a nightmare, and he is reluctant to do so, and will of course be very costly.
I've checked with Ed today and he has 2 options - either used (good condition, straight, etc.) "with the pad" (I assume this is 106722 unless you know of any other "pads" that are normally included with the T panel?) - or new but without the pad (I have new pads in stock if needed). Both will need minor re-brushing.
Both are the same price at £625 total shipped to you, but I can't emphasise enough that's a one-time offer. That price will only go up. The fact that Ed wants effectively the same price for a used one tells you something... He knows a lot more than we do about availability of these sort of parts.

Despite the hole, there is some value in your old one, not a lot as you'd have to factor in £400-£500ish repair, but it's something.

I don't know why, but I only just picked this up. :(
That was a fair price, but my "Money Tree" doesn't bloom again until October - still thanks for that as it at least provides a "possible" future option - I may just pop over there myself sometime?

Well I only posted it up 3 days ago ;) - I was just back from Ed's sorting out a variety of other large items to come over by van. The offer's still open for just over 3 weeks - no actual money needed to get it over here, just a zero-commitment "maybe" should be fine - Ed's probably not going to mind storing 1 over here - he has 3 new ones, and if you don't buy it, someone else probably will over here.. eventually.

Sh!t your post said October - jeez my time clock needs re setting.

Last night I initially made the decision to get one shipped over then later on, I tracked down a hood/bonnet at a good but expensive price.

So trying to keep the spending under control it looks like I'll get Chris N to sort out the original one - there again, I think you know me by now .... that may change!
