A 'Fitter' is a young oik who thinks they are a mechanic because they once changed a lightbulb on their mates car without referring to an instruction manual.
These people 'fix' things by replacing parts until the problem goes away and then charging for every part they touched.

They’re called “Fitters” because it refers to a neurological disorder that prevents cognitive and physical response to any stimulus. They usually justify their actions by reference to an NVQ (Neanderthal Vocational Training) in Motor Mechanics. The origins of the species are thought to derive about the same time as “Kwik Fit” was established in the late 1970’s. Following unrestricted breeding (The Vicki Pollard Effect), they are now found in most inner cities. The thud, thud of stereo base sound often precedes an appearance. To get a good look at this particular genome a visit to your local Youth Court is recommended, where you will usually be greeted by “What you looking at Granddad” :shock:

Darren, I can understand your frustration!...but thanks for sharing the stories.

Have you checked yet to make sure its a Jensen?
