An auto?

You mean to tell me that you've got that 500bhp engine from a race car, and you're attaching it to a 3-speed auto box?!?!

Slight exageration, it is estimated at 200bhp from a lambourghini replica kit car. You are correct about the auto bit though. The car would still be in the garage in 2016 Eurofest had I attempted a conversion.

Gearbox- I can't seem to get Neutral with everything now reconnected. Is there a chance the cable is now stretched or something damaged? It is an auto remember

The cable from the accelerator/ throttle spool (on the original engine) was there to change the shift points on varying load.
Double check the mechanism from the gear selector to the gearbox.

Can you move it into all positions?
When you say you can't put it into Neutral are you saying with the engine running does the car move forwards (or backwards?)

ps Nothing wrong with Auto's when the computer is refurbished, the cable is correctly adjusted and there is oil in the gearbox itself !

I reconnected the gear mechanism to the selector as per the manual. Since it has been sitting on all 4 wheels though, no matter what position the selector is in I am unable to move the car or make contact that enables the start inhibit relay. I was able to do it before the frame off though. Also where does the other end of the vacuum pipe go to from beside the selector cable?

It goes to the inlet manifold....you will have to T it in-line with the spark distributor vac advance on your engine :D

Found the issue with the gearbox, the sheath on the cable wasn't fixed at one end and was just bending instead of actuating the gearbox. Have clamped it now and seems to work. Just hope it holds long term.

The windscreen wipers now seem to be fine.

The door problems were caused by the non-delorean door seals being used. Have removed these and ordered new ones. The lock mechanism on the drivers side was a bit loose so I have added a small shim to firm it all up again. The passenger side needs all the moving parts lubricated as was sticking and therefore not re-latching.

Started adjusting the suspension heights as per Nick and Mikes How to. The fronts currently sit at 590mm and the rears 710mm. Looks a bit high at the back but may just need to settle a bit.

Still a fair bit to do but feels quite manageable now the car can move itself around. I am optimistic I will make Eurofest. Once the brake pipes are finished I will be happier and take it for a sneaky run.

I would also like to thank Thomas for his help yesterday. I can see in his face the pain having frame-offed 2 Deloreans in the last 18 months but he still manages to call when available. Top man!
