If the back of the fan motors are touching the ARB then the radiator has been bent backwards on the brackets

The fans have then 'twisted' / shunted into the back of the radiator shattering the cowl and puncturing the rad

Sorry thats how i see it Carl :(

Get some more pics up old chip..

Right, I've had another look and play...

First of all, I've managed to free the offside fan altogether now and that is spinning nicely without any obstruction (it was previously rubbing against the top of the housing).

The nearside fan is a different story though as it is still grazing the frame on the turn. Not a lot, but enough for it to not run smoothly. I have tried to push this further forward but it springs back into place again. I also tried bending the edge of the blades inwards a bit too so they would then narrowly miss hitting the frame.

Hopefully you will be able to see from the pics what is happening...

No question though that the force of the impact has pushed everything further back than it should be, judging by Al's picture anyway.

What effect will it have on cooling if the fans don't have any housing? Can I get any new housing before Sunday?!

P.S. The brackets don't appear to have been bent, although the nearside one is a little looser than the offside.
