Will take some once it is clean lol. Have some of the fun we had in the Jag with the roof down. The 4 litre V8 sounds awesome

Inner headlights need holes made to mount due to extra sidelights so that is why they sit out.

Yesterday when moving the car about the engine struggled to move the car on an incline in reverse or forward. When drive or reverse was selected the engine would practically stall. I adjusted the ignition timing and it helped so I put it down to this and fuel pressure. Today I haven't been able to select any gears :(

Is there anything I can look at without condemning the damn thing?

I don't quite understand the oil level check. Would this have anything to do with it?

Also the vacuum hose is not yet connected as the hose is around 8 inches short. Can this effect it?

I will have to check the governor in daylight in case it has melted on the exhaust manifold. Haven't seen any sign of burning rubber though

I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will chime in but I think when the gearbox is warm, you need to shift through all the gears then check the level.

Not select any gears? If you mean electrically then check fuse 5 (I think) for the auto transmission.
If this is the case then it will default to 3rd gear (no solenoids active)
The car will stall when trying to move with the gearbox in this position.

Yes the vac pipe needs to be connected as this adjusts the oil pressure inside the gearbox.
Rule of thumb for oil level, with engine cold, fill to the point where the flat bit of the dipstick goes to the coiled part. Disregard the level indicators. This is how I do it on mine.

It's fuse 13, btw

Great job Matt, also.
