Hi Jez,

Sorry to hear about car...it is Mec who has the spare seat.

I have just got back to the office from R-R today, I will be on site from around 08:45, so if you get there early you can come on in. Alternatively if you follow Claypit lane past R-R south to the A27 there is a McDonalds (about 1 mile from R-R) if your peckish. :D

As for the Route map Arran, its QUICKER by far to go via Pulborough on the A29. (from Billingshurst south) to join A27 near Fontwell (sign posted A29 Bognor Regis from Billingshurst) It'll save you 20-30 mins, but not as scenic, so you might want to do Petworth route on way home! :geek:

Daft as it seems if you stay on M25 to Guildford and come down A3 to Portsmouth then A27 Chichester it's ALL dual carriage/motorway, far less scenic but about 15 mins quicker than either route above

Regards
D

The roundabout on Claypit Lane from which the entrance "The Drive" is off is residential (the south leg of Claypit Lane) you could park there if not in a delorean it's a very short walk, but be aware its ONE WAY, so you cant get on it from the roundabout (only on to the roundabout off that part of the road) access is via Stane Street.

see PO18 0SH for details

OK Darren. Google doesn't agree with your timings, but I trust you! So it's a choice of the single carraigeway route that Darren says, 80 miles from the meet-up point. Or all motorway - 100 miles from the meet up point. Motorway sounds good to me!

LOL :D

It takes as long to get to Pease Pottage Services (where you get off M23) as it does to get to A3M junction on M25, then its 3 lanes to Guildford, Dual carriage way to Hindhead (this is the achilles heel where it goes to single lane while the tunnel is built) then Dual carriage all the way to Goodwood.
If you stay between 70 & 80, its about 1 hr 40 from Dartford crossing to here.

Mind you its a gamble between A3M and the A29 Pulborough route, if Hindhead is busy you can face 30minute delay!

It really is your choice...dont blame me.

A3M = 103 miles with only 5 miles of single carriageway (mostly 40mph)
M23/A29/Pulborough = 83 miles with approx 20 miles single carriageway (most 30mph & 40mph and loads of junctions/roundabouts)
