Can you name this Gullwing?

For anything else not specifically DeLorean related....

Nope.

But 6 engineers from Lagonda did work on this car.

Arran,

Did you spend hours searching out the image?

Do you know what the car is, then?

or are you keeping the others in suspense a little longer. ;)

The hood emblem is not that clear but looks like an Alvis emblem. But they were founded after the first war.

I do know what car it is, but I will keep schtum because it isn't fair since I have an unfair advantage being a professional googler! :D

I believe the current owner paid in the region of £80k for it.

and it isn't a Rolls Royce!

Interesting picture Rob, never seen that before! Looks like it's based on an SZ chassis series Rolls. I'd lay bets on a 1993 spirit.

(I know I'm an uber anorak) :ugeek:

(It has the 1993-97 steering wheel, and dashboard)

LOL arran

I spoke at length with the owner (he's actually the guy in the lilac suit next to the lambo in the "whats my line thread")

Clue 2:

The company was "absorbed" by another classic car company after WWI. The particular car in my quiz was built in 1985 to revive the original name and brand.

I can remember from the description it's was called a 'silver ghost', that all. I found it a good combo of scissor and gullwing considering easy access. They failed on the clearance though, but with a car like that you don't care.. (sorry to the OP for thread hijack).
