One more thought Ollie, they did mine over night, so being as your a way off, if you arranged it with them, I'm sure you could stop a night in a Premier inn or what ever & take it home next day. Much cheaper than going home & back again.

Thanks guys for that, I have spoken to them and the chassis is booked up for next weekend so will take it up on the Saturday however there may be unto a 2 week turnaround on it otherwise that would have been a good idea!

I did speak to SPL and they quoted £650 + VAT to chemically clean and then £945 + VAT to put a electrophoretic coating on chassis. Pricey I thought. BUT ProStrip will do Pyrolysis Thermal stripping and then a chemical bath for £275. Obviously will have to get it powdercoated or galvanised at another place but still a lot cheaper this way.

Am watching some upper ball joints on eBay, could someone tell me what is a reasonable price to get them for?

Thanks!

Ollie, might be worth asking pro-strip, cos the bloke who powder coated my chassis is 100yds from them. He will pick it up & then coat it. That way you can just pick it up when it's all done.

Yeah that's the only thing I was thinking about because I would be interested to see where welding is needed before its done as well. But would definitely research the options while its up there if there are people that are know to do good work?

Yes, the powder coasters can do the welding as well, they put a couple of small plates at the front on mine.

Just a quick update and picture. Took the chassis to pro strip in nottingham yesterday morning. They kindly opened up at 8.30am for us to drop it off. Was up to nottingham and back to Bristol by 11am yesterday but worth it! Probably a couple of weeks as they have quite a lot of work on. Making progress though...
