330 GT 2+2 Series I built 1964, sold Jan 65!

Came across this today on fleabay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FULLY-LOADED- ... 4d07e7d728

Books sell individually for several hundred quid, so thats about £8,000.00 for a paper tag

Shell is now sitting on a new chassis with wheels!

No, not paper labels just yet. I'm Saving for an engine Nick....

At $175,000 USD it will still probably need a £125,000 GBP rebuild.

Thats just plain internet motoring Porn, Dermot.

Your shot was the "after".......here's my "before"

Image

One of the reasons I went for a 330GT is that it has the SAME Chassis, engine, suspension, brakes etc as a 250GTO :D
But in a more practical 2+2 Pinninfarina dress. Enzo himself had a 330GT as his private and preferred Ferrari.

Problem is since 250 GTO's now fetch over £30 Million, more and more 330GT's are getting broken (parted out) for spares or Donors for 250GTO recreations (250GTO re-body) as a consequence the price of parts far, far outweighs what a car is worth as a whole. For example you could buy a 330 and sell JUST the engine alone for more than the car cost you, and the Chassis too is worth nearly the same as a complete car. Purists are holding onto 330's and businesses are simply breaking them :(
Soon there won't be many left and that's when a £200K car becomes a £3Million car. ;) They only made 43 RHD cars and half have already been broken for spares.
Certain Ferrari's like "Motorshow" cars are Uber rare, and fetch much more money.

Like maybe a certain white RHD car that is being restored at the moment.
