Yesterday I sent front payment for 81 early model 37 000 miles on it.
Takes few months to get it in Finland.
Hope you get nice packets. :P

Cheers. Peter

The Delorean I have was the Black one that John Dore owned, Vin 3659 which came to Northampton and sold on again last year. It has since been returned to stainless and thankfully the tales of woe were unfounded as the stainless had no major dings. (Admittedly luck on my side!)

A brake refurb, fuel pump & lines and superficial MOT work has got the car roadworthy on 27 Dec 12 . Cosmetically I have just striped the steel, re-painted the ends and recovered the headliner pieces.

The ongoing project has had to fit around work, full time marriage where the better half is studying for a full time degree, 2 young children and a lack of a garage which is why it has taken 1.5 years to get it this far. All in all I am pleased with the result considering the minimal budget both in time and money. I look forward to some Delorean motoring at last.

Gary

Well done. Didn't this car have a famous owner at one stage. A baseball player or something? Look forward to the photos.

Hi guys. Im back.
Delorean is finally trucked to California to wait for a long journey. Here is one hint of what I will be getting.
I wonder if this double exhaust was an option or just changed??
Im just getting to details and learning bit by bit.
Cheers. Peter

And you would be able to buy four potatos instead of two. This was mentioned in the "Family model" owners manual.
Manifold was changed to barbeque in these early models.
