Used low height front springs for sale

Postby dmcscott2002 » Thu Jan 31, 2013 8:10 pm

Hey people,

I changed my front springs for DMC Europe 'original ride height' set.

This set was put on when my car was originally brought over from the states and to the best of my knowledge were supplied my the DOC some years back. the height is not that dissimilar to the height of DMC Europe's sets.

Apart from needing sand blasting and re powder coating these are fine. Anyone want to make me and offer or they'll be on ebay next week! I recon they'll be at least £10 postage or could arrange a pickup or possibly drop off if its convenient.

Cheers

Scott

I changed all of my suspension components and bought as many new parts as possible. A few people have commented on them not being exactly right height in the past and it always niggled at me so I got a set of eds when I changed everything else.

If my calculations are correct, the springs offered for sale in this thread are the "Parnham" springs, although possibly an early batch.

Well the manufacturer is different. Just identifying them, Martin has sold at least 4 different versions over the years, there are PJ Grady (US) springs, Ed's springs, DMCH springs, then these ones from Chris Parnham - resold by Martin and the DOC for a while. There was a so called "dodgy" batch a while back, usually characterised by sagging very low, sometimes more on one side than an other, and in many cases fracturing/cracking/snapping/failing, but if you changed them for being too high, then this isn't that batch!

Ahh right. Well they're lower than the stock ones by a long way. As I say they were never a problem as such, I just changed them for peace of mind and cause I had everything in the area apart anyway. Car was imported and fitted with them late 2006 before I bought it in jan 07 if that helps.
