Honestly I have no idea, Martin advertises the brake upgrade as 'fully fitted' so I assume he has a plan, but I don't know the details. Ed Uding has apparently been working on a fully compliant four wheel brake upgrade kit, but hasn't had the time to complete it.

The brake kit comes from Hi spec Motorsports in Dartford, just down the road from me. They sell directly to the public

Just an FYI for anyone thinking about putting the Quaife ATB limited-slip diff in their DMC-12; as supplied it works ok in front engine orientation but doesn't fit when flipped over for rear-engine use. The diff rubs against the UN1 casing and doesn't mesh properly with the output shaft as shown here;

Fortunately it's fairly easy to fix with a little machining of the casing, Kevin @ GTO Racing did this for Martin's build and Chris's transmission guy is replicating that for mine.

Nice Bloke.

I've had the priviledge of visiting his home in South Wales, he has some truly amazing cars there. :thumbsup:

I bought a load of vintage Ferrari parts from him.

Has a complete collection of original works rally Renaults to name but a few.

Here's the VIN plate;

Image

Didn't have original horns so fitted a pair of new Bosch units. They sound good but draw about twice the current of the originals, so spliced in a horn relay along with John Hervey's lighting circuit relay (to prevent arcing destroying the switches);

Image

Obviously some cleanup to do once all the wiring is in (still quite a lot more to go).

Attempted to take the car over to Ed Uding for engine install, but the back of the trailer was not properly secured and tragedy struck. We managed to cram most of the parts back into the trailer...

Yeah ok it's actually a load of damaged parts Chris wanted hauled back to his workshop. :) I'm sure he'll get it all cleaned up and good as new eventually.

Here's the actual car being unloaded at Ed's;

Image

As promised, the Vehicross ended up as the DeLorean tow car, worked well, nice and stable.

Image

Engine is ready to go in, but Ed's pretty busy so could be a couple of months before it's fully installed & tuned.

Image

Also asked Ed to put on his LCA bracing struts. He's got some cool stuff in development over there, had to swear not to blab about it and spoil the surprise. :)

Still making slow but steady progress. Seat covers (logo is a callback to the company who did the original turbo DMC-12 development);

Stainless exhaust tips (still need a bit of cleanup);
