cool, i think it should be ok then
the only reason i was considering it was as the front brakes starting marking the disc maybe its over heated something.

given i need to get it roadworthy as soon as possible as im stranded in the uk until it is,
i think 2 rear bearings and 2 front discs is probably enough for now :-)

Are the brake pads ok?

No. That's what's marked the disc. I picked up a set of the cortina ones from halfords
