Pair of Lower link arms.

Postby InoX » Tue Sep 15, 2009 10:29 pm

I'm after a replacement lower link arm if anyone has spare ones? I'd take a pair if anyone has two?

one of mine bore the end of my frustration and a lump hammer when i couldn't get the thing to fit to the chassis; thus i need a replacement.

also after a pair of hervey's lower ball joints, if the forum was purchasing some?

thanks and regards.

Dave.

not sure what a lower link arm is, but I know Julian said he had some old bit that sounded similar - although I think it was a rear piece - somewhere around the rear wheels! :?

The club has lower ball joints in stock, can be posted straight out!: viewtopic.php?f=66&t=505

How on earth did you manage to wreck a front lower arm?

...what he said... and they're not the easiest thing to get hold of!

Hervey has the billet aluminium ones, or there're the stainless ones for £££.

...or have yours repaired.

How bad are they Dave?

Get them down to Chris N, he can repair them and weld in reinforcing plates.

He has never thrown one away yet!

Not being made of stainless, any competent welder/fabricator will be able to repair them - Chris Harding recently did a pair for me.

erm, yeah. it's bad. I need a replacement. I'm asking around still for prices. you're right no-one seems to want to part with theirs.... odd :)

yeah, 450 each for new stainless ones! I'd be tempted if the $ - £ wasn't crap right now.

Hervey wants old ones before he'll ship the alu ones :(

Seriously, how bad are they that they can't be repaired? The important parts are the seat for the ball joint and the tube/mounts for the ARB bushes and main bush. Unless you really lost your rag, those whould be salvageable ;)
