Black is the new black.

Any tips on refurbishing the seat adjusters? The powdercoat has come off at a few spots, and i do not have a paint gun.

Well first sand off as much mair as you can. You may get some chips coming off due to rust not showing. I used simple black Matt spray and then topped it off with Matt varnish spray to avoid it getting rubbed off.

One chair recovered fully and 'screwed up'. It turned out really nice. I'm keeping the other chair for next weekend. One tip i'd like to add, run some soft wire through the ribs of the seat back and the padding before you do the hog rings around, so you can easily pull them up in the last stage. Just like you do with the tie-raps really. Once you are ready pull the strings to tighten the back ribs and use the last hogrings to fix 'em securely.

If i feel any good tomorrow, i'll take the passenger seat out of the car so i can sand an paint the adjusters together. And get that carpet out if possible.

And so i've started early, getting out the other seat and removing the carpet. Hurray I found a treasure!

Old versus new. It looks better in daylight.

Seeing there is NOTHING under the carpet (not even a foam padding), i am definitely going to use the Dynamat/Dynamat clone way.

I'm planning on adding dynamat (actually, Silent Coal) to my DeLorean next month now that the seats and the carpets are out.

I will be convering the following sections:
- floor
- footwells
- center console walls
- rear upper firewall
- lower back wall and parcel shelf

I know a few of you have done this before. Could you please give me an estimate on how much m[SUP]2[/SUP] or sq. foot i need?

Thank you for your time.

Babis, the left one is my original passenger seat. The right one is my old drivers seat with the new seat covers that I installed last week, which I bought at DMCEu (Ed Udink) over 2 years ago.

Seat two has been finish too. Too-too-ketchoo. I'm out of energy to even clean up, let alone drag it to the garage.
