I was at uni the same years TYO was on telly. And the scene in Bottom where they come back from the pub and start eating a block of lard as they were too drunk to cook a fry up, still cracks me up.

Fortunately he has made a lot of material during his years, we have plenty to (re)watch.

I was genuinely saddened by this news. The man made me laugh on so many occasions. British comedy has just lost one of it's greatest assets.
