So, after getting the car back from Ed's i noticed the reverse lights didn't work. Actually, i noticed that my park assist didn't beep. Because when sitting in the car, you can't see the lights.. But anyway, it just turned out that Ed forgot to reconnect the reverse switch.

I did find quite a nice document about the bulkhead connectors. Interesting stuff. I saved me a copy and printed it to file it with the other car's papers for later use.

Somehow my door lights (and interior, glove box, bonnet and engine bay lights) are very dim, perhaps 10%. I checked the diagram and they're all connected to the same fuse #12. I checked the fuse and it is ok. I wonder what causes it, it wasn't there before. Ed has told me he didn't touch the area; i might have to do some investigations. First order of business: do I get the full 12V at the fuse location?

Defo a connection Rob. Ed may not have been in the area, but just touching a harness in the US may move connectors someplace IN THE NETHERLANDS... it's called the butterfly effect. :( bloody electrical.

Current state of my relay bay. I had to lift all of them to find out what's happening.

The front interior light was incorrectly wired. This caused a bad connection on the entire lighting segment at a certain setting. But i only found out after tracing the wiring. PO has made some, errm 'improvements' to the relay wiring causing my delay module to backfire, slowly draining the battery instead of saving it. There are all sort of surplus wires coming and going from the delay module to the A/C panel resistor (???).

Tomorrow i'm going to restore it all back to factory. At least i've found the cause!

You're da man Rob! But are you sure the factory setting is the best way out? Why would the PO bypass it that way? Maybe as soon as you go factory, you encounter other faults the PO was trying to save.

And further more. All previous mods made by the PO have not proven to be a positive change.
