Been at Chris N today with the car, today was time to run the engine and check for any cooling or water pump issues
I cannot believe how well it starts and runs considering how long it's been stood for.

The engine has no head gasket problems and cools down lovely, even the fans work

You are real good at rubbing it in! Hehehe
No really. Good for you. A smoothly running delorean is a blessing when you're on a restoration. Only aesthetics to tune then?

Al, while you're at it check the bosch choose on the distributor and with the v pipe removed unscrew the thermo vac switch to check its operation. I'll check the forum a as I'm sure I've described how to test this before. It can be done by heating the end with the flame from a lighter and blowing through the central vac connection.

Also check that the thermistor is 10-12k ohm at 15-20 degrees as I've seen wrong ones fitted.

Coming on now, all running stainless exhaust on

Filled autobox yesterday, and changed final drive oil, and the new governor, all seems ok with the wheels off the ground, waiting for a front hub carrier from Ed for the front wheel.

Hopefully be able to road test Friday then book in for MOT
