Oh ffs what is it with Scotch locks. .....

It looks like someone has added a suppressor to the negative switching in an attempt to either preserve the switch contacts or (more likely) copied what other owners have done.

It's not required. Remove immediately. ...

That is the ground giving 2.2 uF unit to the distributor coil. I had placed it in the wrong position cause I saw it there in another DeLorean engine bay photo. It actually goes inside the plugs bay in the lower left of the coil.)
