Haha, loved the part about the weather!
But cars related stuff is so expensive here.
Today I played the annual road tax 360€ for each car I have.
And every month I pay about 100€ in toll roads.

But, it's a good country to live in, by all means.

I'm actually coming to Amsterdam next Thursday/Friday to pick up my D.
Hoping to get time to give Ed a visit. Need a extra pair of yellow sidemarkers since red are illegal here in Norway.

I hope you enjoy our country. I must warn you that Amsterdam is not a proper representation for the Netherlands. It is similar to judging the United States by visiting Disney Land (which i admit is not far off).

Driven thru many times, but never stoped. I will have it in the back of my mind. I guess I only gone see the highway and the port.

Did you disagree with the Disney land comparens mouse?
I really enjoyed the north west in the US, amazing place. Laguna seca was also cool to see, the crock skrew is steep! But LA was to big for my taste.

Hi aleksander!! Welcome to the club;) that is a neat looking Delorean.
I was confused at first when I saw your screen and as I am also Alexander and I own 5992. The name the fives the nine.. Hehehe

Enjoy your d and get ready to get busy repairing;)

As for taxes... Your countries are a charm.

In Greece the import tax on a D is 32.000€ as a daily driver. Then annual tax is 1020€ and insurance about 800€

As an old timer just 600€ and 35€ annual insurance and tax free. But you can only drive it at club events.

So I guess you know which I preferred eh?

Alex - is that the same if you import a car within Europe?? In the UK we're told everything in Europe is equal, we're like one very big country and must do everything the same and treat everyone the same, you could come over here, vote, get paid whether you wanted to work or not, have free healthcare etc. - surely it's the same for cars? Couldn't you just buy a car here and drive it in Greece as a European car?
Just looking around my local area I see a lot of european number plates on cars.
Obviosuly when we "import" a car from the USA we pay a lower rate of tax because it's not actually an import, but a re-import, the car was born here! :) (although most people, British included, do regularly get confused what country Belfast is in ;) )
