VIN 5992 - The Monarch in Greece & restoration

Postby ALEXAKOS » Mon Mar 16, 2015 8:38 pm

Another "thank you" to DMCH for their terrible parts :(
I had to remove the tranny today after only having driven 70 miles...

(Yes I drive with that BARCODE license plate!!! It's 2015 isn't it? :p)

The seal just wasn't doing its job and it cost me 200€,
There was no way I hell I would try and remove that tranny again alone in my garage.

So thanx to Ed's replacement seal I was on my way 3 hours later;)

Nice exhaust sound... Many think it's a ford gt40 :)

It was fine... I think I should send that bill to DMCH for that lousy part that cost me a serious amount of cash and time:(

Even tho I am scottish, I am less concerned about the money than the time!! (and effort).

For future info, did the DMCH seal have 2 internal lips, and ridges on the outside (...for extra pleasure)?? ANy brand on it?? The one I received from Ed did have the ridges and lips , but was unbranded.

Yes eds had the extra pleasure set and was orange... The DMC had one lip and no ridges. But the leak was from internally and supposedly the inner lip does the work...

I am proud to say
MY DELOREAN WILL MAKE GREEK HEADINES:)

Next week the Greek issue publishers of "car&driver" mag will do a shoot for their next edition.

It was seen at a A/C service centre while getting my system filled.

They were amazed of the condition and asked for my contact details.

I don't suppose anyone wants a copy of that issue eh? Hahaha
