Onwards picking up tiny left over jobs

Another problematic DMCH part. The inner door seals.
Image
Even with constant silicone lubbing, realigning and care, they just tore after about 40 opening and closing the doors, they tore up on both sides at the exact same place. On the upper front corners. Those are too damn big if you ask me and the pressure on the doors closing were always too tight.
So I got a set for half as much one size smaller.
Image
Fits perfectly, seals just great and let's the door close smoothly.

I finally my A/C is done with 134a cooling fluid.
Image
Works perfectly and will give me a cool head in the summer.

Last job, I got rid of the upper engine louvre seals and replaced them with a rather softer seal.
Image
Grips nicely on the provided rear fender lips and let's the louvre sit softly when closed.

First I cleaned the lips
Image
Then cut out the damper bases
Image
And clipped on

This is what the resting of the louvre looks like

Hi Alex,

Would you be able to share the links for the inner door seals you found, and also for the louvre seals?

Cheers, Mike

Not really mike.
I bought them out of a store in Athens that sells seals by the meter and also struts! 7€ per meter cost. I am looking to exchange my door struts with custom ones they sell there. They make them per kilo of weight to be supported. My ebay struts really are too weak for the doors. On cold days they need help to be lifted all the way :(

On a second note I'd like Al to give us the link for the inner door seals he got for the black beast. I think those are THE BEST ever seals I have seen on the Delo

No worries Alex.

I agree, the seals Al found for his car look like they fit perfectly!

Not really. Least would be 5 C, and even then the struts are too weak:(
