Well, yes, I know that. I meant that it's an odd format to see one a DeLorean. Almost all are W or X reg, with a few Y's thrown in.
iirc A-reg came in in Aug 83 for cars first reg after that date but quite how the DLVA pick between a Y and an A, if you present your US 1983 title, I don't know. Do they just look at the date it was registered in the US? Perhaps that's how come there are a couple of B & C-reg cars also.
