ooooooooooooohhh

What are you doing with your old engine, I seem to recall it always ran rather well (assuming this is a 3ltr V6 Legacy3 engine swap you're doing)

A quick video below:-

Following on from the engine (‘modified’ LS3 6.2L V8) and transmission (Porsche 911 ‘964’ Turbo G50\52) swap to make the Legacy3 a reality, the build is now finally being written up to feature each step at http://www.legacy3.co.uk for any queries, not covered on the website, please feel free to ask here.

The whole process has been a roller coaster of emotions but I’ve very glad to have done through the whole process.

Amazing Chris - what a project!! Have you had the car on a dyno, or got any idea what kind of output you’re looking at?
Is it a similar installation to a couple of the ones I’ve seen done on DMCTalk?

I had the Camaro with the same engine, they make 430bhp & about the same in ft/lb torque. It was brutal even with traction control etc.
A proper chassis & huuuuuge Brembo’s still a handful, must be truly terrifying in a D’.
Big grins but I’d guess extremely easy to bin it
In that Chevy it would do 90pmh in second (it was a 6 speed manual) before hitting the Rev limiter & I had 168 on the clock one day before having to brake, it was still pulling though.
Oh & I was in 5th...... awesome thing it was

This one was the 480 i.e. the 430 with the GM hotcam but there are way better cams out there so I've recently had a Texas Speed Stage 1 installed which 'should' give 550HP+. The ceramic coated new exhaust needs to go back on and then it can go for the remap to see what it is putting out.

I had new rear springs (and helper springs) and it is very much planted as the engine is over the rear wheels. The handling is better and it is still really communicative. I can't wait to see what the new numbers are...
