235/60 R15 VITOUR 98V GALAXY R1

Postby acmetowers » Tue Jul 23, 2019 8:55 pm

Been looking for these for a while to get the correct size and speed rating. Ebay has just got some in for £81 each with free delivery (item number 383063576170) I've only seen them for over £100 plus delivery. Just thought if anyone else was looking for tyres seems a good price. Also Amazon have p600 for £158 also seems to be a good deal.

For that price I'd get the p600 tyres

Thought about having the pirelli but the galaxy's have good reviews and the difference will get me a pair of Dgo mats and a load of paint stripper for my winter project.

For what it's worth, I got a set of galaxy tyres and they were awful. Marked sidewalls, out of round and manufactured in China. "Imported from USA" is certainly different to country of manufacture.
I purchased from a place down south, and had bad customer service, sarcastic emails and accused me of fitting the tyres when I hadn't. I sent them back.
(I did research at university for finding faults in car tyres using magnetic non destructive analysis and vulcanisation problems years ago.)

I went for Pirelli's, and although I hate my wallet being opened, I'd rather have these than those ditch-finders.

I hope others had better experience if they ordered those galaxy tyres.

Thanks for the heads up. If they don't balance then they won't be going on that's for sure. Personally not bothered about the China thing, a few years ago yes but they're catching up on the quality and making some good stuff now.

Good luck if you decide to go for them, it was only a few months ago when admin-bloke bought those tyres and subsequently sent them back.

You’re not bothered about the China thing?
Really? You should be.
They are catching up on the quality?
No doubt they can make decent stuff, they just don’t & don’t want to

I don't have preconceptions of a product because of where it's made, I go on data and reviews, it's the engineer in me. At work I do a lot of work on evs (my goal is to convert my delorean into ev) and on that front the Chinese have got some good stuff in batteries, motors and the electronics. I have a defender with Chinese led headlamps they're brilliant (dot approved).
