Also when i bought the van, it came with a number of repair sections, two of which are the rear side panels, I decided that I did not need these as mine are repairable so I used these to trade along with a bit of cash to get myself an original rear door and bonnet panel...

Hi All

Hope you all had a great xmas and new year, bit more of an update for you all, i started off bt going through all the parts i got with the van...

Since these have been in my trailer they have gathered some leaves, i was too hopful about most of this as its all been outside for years, the engine i knew when i got it was seized so at this point i didnt know if it was savable or not, so i went through the various parts that were there and this is what i was left with ...

the engine had a gearbox on it but it was so rusted on i had to destroy it getting it off..

I ended up unbolting the clutch to get it apart

So i started on the engine ...

In the hope it could still be saved i tried to get the head off, I tried everything to get it off, no luck, i even set alight to it ! ...

So in the end after 3-4 goes trying to get it off i gave up and managed to source a good used 850cc engine and box, the same as Dan has for his...

So last night i finally started on some fibreglass repairs, i started with the bit split on the passenger side front wing area...

I then opened up the crack to get some nice clean edges on the fibreglass

Then from inside i cleaned off all the rubbish filler and crap from a previous repair...

It doesnt look pretty at the moment but I'm going to do all the structural repairs from behind first then all the fibreglass filler repairs after.
I was very surprised how strong this is now :D

Haha Me Julie, I really tried with it but the engine number didn't match the chassis plate so i thought enough was enough, so i upgraded to the 850cc which gives an increase of 4bhp ! to give me a blistering 34BHP !! :lol: :dance:

I've never seen an engine that seized before shocking stuff!
