A few weeks ago a young lady posted on the club Facebook page asking for help with a car that belonged to her late father.
It was at one time lent to the West Midlands Motor Museum in Bridgnorth before the owner of the museum was convicted of theft and it shut down.
Unfortunately the owner of the car Pummy Bhatia passed away very young in 1995 leaving a wife and two young children.
The family have been slightly undecided on what to do with the car, daughter Serena has decided she wants to drive the car and take it to California ( where she is planning to move) and drive it down the freeway near the coast as that’s where her dad wanted to retire.
Myself and Ryan went to take a look a couple of weeks ago so we could advise the family on the best way forward.
Although it has been outside for a number of years the chassis in particular is in excellent condition.
Since taking a look we have worked on a parts list ( DGo) and Chris Nicholson has agreed to take the car and undertake the work required.
Myself and Ryan will be revisiting to fit different wheels and tyres so it will roll onto a transporter.
There could be some hiccups along the way but we are all hopeful that everything goes as smoothly as it can.
Serena and her family are hoping to come up to our MarchTec meet ( in less than two weeks)
Thanks to Chris Parnham for photos of PUM436 in the museum taken v early 90’s
