LOL Thanks Mec,

I was worried it might have broken him to be honest.

It is tacked on .... Exciting times..

Quite amazing seeing the rust on the chassis... I know its nothing to worry about and they always blast it before galv and/or powder coat but there wasn't any on it when it landed and its been dry ever since. I recall Rich H kept his for several months after prostrip got it and it was solid brown when it turned up.

I am not risking the trailer again as we are in odd weather periods. So I figure a Mercedes Sprinter will take the Chassis and will let me boot it up 70 and back 70 keeping it dry and warm. 77 squid for the day so not cheap as I will need 2 days :(

It's mad how fast it rusts up. mine is the same. as soon as the bare metal is in contact with air the rusting process starts immediately from the humidity.
I've seen red, black, brown and even green rust depending on the environment/weather the metal has been exposed to..

Great to see the frame extension tacked on looks sweet 8-)

Alex tells me he is virtually finished, just needs a check on the jig and some last final welds and job is done.

Off to the blast/galvanise and powder coat.

Talking of which my Trailing arms have just came back :) I was getting REALLY worried as the chap left them outside on the floor when I left and I was thinking "what if he forgets and leaves them there etc etc"

I am sure he moved them in and labelled them straight away as I had a text on Fri to say they were ready.

I am so impressed. 20 quid per arm you cant go wrong.

I will try and get some pics next time as they have some lovely classics getting worked on around there.

Little place down the road, I think I have linked earlier on this thread.

https://www.nantwichpowdercoating.co.uk/our-gallery.php

Its hilarious driving to you think you are going to the end of the world then it all opens up to loads of vehicles waiting and bodyshops/paintshops etc.

Just chatted with Alex, it all lines up and is complete, we talked about the challenge which was a new one for him which made it interesting..More alignment and re-setting than cutting out rust and re-welding.

He is hoping to have it to the Galvanisers this week £638 estimate for Galv and powder coat. No eta on their lead time yet so that will determine when I get it back.
