Not posted for a while but time to update.

Firstly as some are aware, I had the delorean europe radius bushes fail on me. I would advise anyone who have these to check them. This is what I pulled from my car...

These have now been swapped for NOS ones which Ive been told hold up rather well. Ive also opted for the Inconel bolts too. Rear end feels much more stable now.

I now have everything I need to start work on the front suspension area.
- Lowered springs
- Ali LCAs with british LBJs
- LCA support brackets
- :spax: shocks
- Poly bushes for the sway bar
- British upper ball joints
- Hub bearings
- NOS upper control bushes
Basically the works.
I also have por15 grey paint and prep to touch up a few little areas here and there.

To compress the springs, Ive gone for these as they seem to be the safest to use...

Theres a few extra things in that picture like handbrake cables and CV boot kit. Ive developed a tapping noise which gets quicker the faster I go. Miles reckons it may be gunk in my CV joints which could be right as they are pretty messy.

One of the coolant pipes has a crack in it so will be replacing that.

New rocker cover gaskets as I have a leak on the drivers side.

So yeah, I have some work ahead of me. The car is on SORN currently, mainly because my road tax ended 28th Feb and rather than bother with the hassle of taxing it and then waiting around for a refund when I can apply for tax exemption in april, its easier to SORN and get some work done at the same time.

Arran is currently living it large...

The headliners are now back in the car finally and I opted for green interior dome lights. I may add footwell lighting at some point but wont be soon...

I know its not to everyones taste but besides the warm white, I see the next common colour is blue. I thought I would try green and I quite like it. Ive seen someone in America who has red dome lights but it didnt do anything for me :D

Im looking forward to getting the parts on the car even if somewhat a little apprehensive when it comes to the death springs. Still, it'll all be worth it

Honestly the springs aren't as bad as they are made out to be. I took mine out without spring compressors at all. I pulled the lower arm out of the chassis with the spring and shock still in place. (The spring can't go anywhere with the shock still in place) Then turned the arm 90 degrees so its clear of the chassis - brute force needed here. Then jack up the underneath of the arm to compress the spring a bit and take the tension off the shock fittings. Then you can unbolt the shock. Then lower your jack down slowly and the spring will gradually extend until its no longer compressed and you can just lift it all out

Been busy today. The spring compressors I used are damn good and kept the spring straight with no bending and didnt scrape any of the frame either. They are expensive but theyve just paid for themselves as far as im concerned. Im still alive :D
A few little por15 touchups needed but far less than I thought.
Also managed to get a local garage to put in the new hub bearing too.
Annoyingly (as always) I need a few bits and pieces to complete this side (like the padding bit that sits on top of the spring).
Overall, this has been a fairly straight forward and easy job with no seized bolts or space issues. Who knew?

Indeed your spring compressors are really cool.
I remember the ones I used were pretty dangerous and hard to put on the car, especially the front.
Keep up the good job
