Update summary:

- rough warmup fixed. It was a vacuum leak.
- installed LED upgrade kit from DeLorean.eu interior and door lights
- installed a speedhut.com backlit gauge dials
- installed SPAX shocks front and rear
- replaced side marker rubbers

Still todo from top of my head (prices are rough indications)
- refill airco R413 (must) €100,-
- recover binnacle (should) €80,-
- fix small hole in driver's seat covering (should) €???
- replace windscreen (should) €800,-
- fix damn fender antenna (should) €10,-
- clean the rims (want/ongoing) €0,-
- improve audio system (subwoofer/head unit) (want) €400,-
- sway bar upgrade kit (must) €80,- + P&P
- replace water tank (should) €200,-
- replace right-side inner door seal (want, have parts)
- buy size 10 clumps (must)
- thank each and everyone of you personally in june eurotec (must) €0.

So that's roughly €1700,- still to save/spend to complete the list, excluding stuff that'll come up as we go. Not bad!

Might cheap! To save on shipping, maybe i can step it up a notch and make an appointment on the 4th of june 2010 to have a windscreen replacement demo!

Edit: delorean.eu ships from the Netherlands and sells on for €386,57. I guess shipping windscreen overseas could add up seriously.

Lol I might need some help washing the car!! :D:D No really, i think i'll be alright. Past year I did do so much work on the car, that has been a great confidence builder. I used to be a guy with no automotive skills whatsoever, but that has seriously changed. As long as it does not involve fuel lines or engine rebuilding i am quite confortable with all sorts of stuff (thank you Edd from Wheeler Dealers!). But then again, june is a couple of months away and any sort of shit may happen (knocks on wood).

PS. I am on the chatroom now!

Another little update:

(EDIT: Damn i already posted this - i guess i had a memory loss there)

- Finally completed and installed the speedhut dials. I wanted to add pictures, but the effect does not fully show on camera (with or without flash).

- Bought some black bungee cord at the local HW store to fix/refurbish the luggage net, at only €1.50 at meter.

- Decided to let Ed (delorean.eu) replace my windscreen coming spring. I've been calling around other car glass specialist. First they don't know the car, they don't have windscreens, and they don't even accept liability for screens not coming from their own suppliers. So no guarantee whatsoever. Oh yeah, and they charge twice the price.

- I need to source some vacuum hose to replace the dodgy one

- I am EXTREMELY happy with the interior LED upgrade. Last fall I replaced the bulbs, but these led's are so much brighter that it is well worth the money (€18 for the LED kit: engine, doors, interior, luggage).

Today I did some more handy-work. Like a true fisherman on the dock, I sat down to fix my luggage net (or what-y-ma-call-it).

I measured the correct length of bungee cord and weaved it through. At strategic points (8 of em), I bound the bungee to the net so it stays roughly in shape. Also I fixed some of the holes in the net (why-o-why was it ripped? was it ripped by time-travel? or did MJF tried to get out? we never know).

Anyway, here's a close-up pic.
