You are entirely correct, although the manual conversion was definitely worth it...and the rest is in the past!

Some people simply can't handle the power of the automatic!

It's such a shame that all those spare parts were destroyed during the war.. :(

By the way, do I really see scotch-locks in the last picture, in the gearshift compartment?

As explained in the article the Kuwait dealerships still exists, and Greg Maine the General Manager is still there.

Al-Qurain Automotive Trading Company,

Here is some info Greg passed on which isn't in the article.

"" If my memory serves me right then we repainted several of the 25 DeLorean cars that we imported into Kuwait.

I think that we painted two vehicles in a very bright Canary Yellow colour and painted all of the mouldings and bumpers jet black colour.

Four or five units were painted Fire Engine red and one special car was painted in a sort of metal flake Lilac colour.

Unfortunately, the Lilac car was written-off about one month after we had delivered it to the customer """

Further information has come to light.

Kuwait had no unleaded fuel at the time the DeLoreans were imported.

They all ran on leaded fuel and the CATS were removed at the factory.
