This car was bought at the Kuwaiti dealership from new by a guy called Tony Catling.

Very nice chap is Tony, he was able to give me some valuable information which enabled myself and James Espey to track down the Kuwaiti dealership after some 25 years, it also lead to James speaking on the phone to the General Manager who still works there at the dealership which astonishingly still existed!...(more will come on this!)

Tony re-imported this car via air when he moved back to the UK in the later part of 1988.

It now resides in Coventry Motor Musem being one of the 50 specially built cars that were sent to the Middle East.

So does the museum own this car now or does Tony just loan it to them? And does it run or has the fuel system gone bad?

Its loaned to the museum.

It used to be run regularly, but hasnt been for a few years.

I was watching a recorded "Best of Scrapheap Challenge" on More 4 when a DeLorean appeared!. They filmed the fill-ins at Coventry Transport Museum:

The DeLorean Purchasing office was based at Spires House Coventry. At the entrance to the office on the fourth floor opposite the exit from the lift was a full size photograph of the DMC12. Last time I saw this was in the Coventry Motor Museum about twenty years ago anyone know if its still there?
