Hi. I have set this section up because I am currently researching the 50 Middle Eastern Cars (of which I currently own one). If you have any information on Middle Eastern cars then please contact me by replying in this thread or by clicking here to send me a message, or start a new thread (if the particular car is not already listed).

This research has been ongoing for the last 12 months, in conjunction with James Espey and Shannon Birdwell (www.txdmc.org).

Soon we will have factory documents appertaining to Middle East production cars in this section plus more cars/stories as they arise, and article is also being produced for DeLoreans magazine and also our own Eurotec Club emag.

Watch this space!

Have now uploaded entire list of known surviving Middle East vins and locations, factory documents added and article.

Thanks again to James Espey, and Shannon Birdwell.

Door VIN plates

Did the ME cars use the VIN plates with the weights in KG versus LBS?

The factory docs indicate also that they were to be "Canadian" and that a total of 484 were shipped to the factory, though I have never seen one on a car, US-spec or the 17XXX cars commonly referred to Canadian.

There are over 9000 companies in France named Talbot (ok, not that much), its a common last name. Some make cars, some make trains, some press identifcation plates. It's all bunk though. (Excusez moi, mon Amis)

That isn't one of the 50 ME cars, it doesn't have any off the hallmarks, There was another wrecked in Saudi recently, will see if I can get the VIN.

Some cars were imported into Saudi, possibly via Consolidated.

I do have somewhere a couple of dealership names which no longer exist.
