It's been a long time, but I finally caught up with the guy who worked for the dealership in Dubai, exchanged numbers and he's got the photos ready to send to me now-I should have them shortly, fingers crossed!
As soon as I've got them I'll scan them and put them on here,he says there's a few interesting showing the hangar used for their storage and distribution.

Me too, I've been trying to find Graham for a while, met him at Ormskirk Motorfest a few years back and he told me he worked there in the 80s and had quite a few pics of there including one of his wife in a newly imported DeLorean-actually had the chance to give him one of my business cards and he got in touch a short time ago
He knows a lot about the set up in Dubai, and made reference to the hangars in Sharjah airport where the cars were prepped post import-he told me a while back that when ops were winding down there were 4-6 cars left in there that were 'cannibalised' for spares as supply from the UK was a problem-he said they were still in the hangar when the company folded.
Hopefully he'll know a bit more than we do!

That all makes sense Brian, deffo some vins unacccounted for.

It might be the former RAF Sharjah

Would be good to get Graham to write down as many memories as he can remember as well?

The guy I know who used to work for a firm who imported DMC vehicles along with other exotic brands to then Saudi Arabia has sent me a great pic of the showroom in Dubai (I assume because the vehicles were prepped at the nearby Sharjah airbase hangars), it's of his lovely wife with a later model flat bonnet DMC that's painted white (not quite Dominos Pizza!) with gloss black front and rear panels-unusually the wheels are still the standard silver finish. He said that the cars were painted locally but I didn't ask where.
Unfortunately he didn't know any vin numbers,it's been quite some time since he left Saudi so obviously stuff can't be found,if and when I get any more info/pics I'll post them here.
You can just make out the name and logo of the import company on the wall to the right of the car.

Great pic.

Did your friend have any guess as to the number of cars that passed through the dealership?

Great picture !
International Automotive , I have a copy of a workshop manual with their logo stamped on it .. will upload here for reference

According to the factory shipping documents I have 25 went to Dubai and definitely some were sold there and in Sharjah.

Flat hood, fender antenna , black interior Looks like a Middle East spec car for sure and I suspect Vin 11764-11789

Do you know what date this picture was taken?

When I met him earlier this year he seemed to think early 80s-he left shortly after DeLorean went bust I seem to remember.
