Insurance.... Agreed Value or Market Value?

Agreed Value or Market Value? That is the question....
Adrian Flux: 278 (or 288 not sure!) - Agreed value of 17,500
R Hoskins: 210 - "Market Value" (and salvage rights)
Also breakdown is included with RH, but I've got full AA membership anyway, so not relevant to me.
(Please choose 1 or 2, not "3" - I don't have time to phone all the others!!)
p.s. I know it's high, but Licensed premises and "car on drive" bumps it up a bit I'm afraid. R Hoskins won't do agreed value on the driveway. And the "10% offer" with Adrian Flux was irrelevant - I mentioned if after they took 15% off, and they said "no - you've had 15%!".

i would get agreed value Arran, bottom line is they are worth what people will pay for them because of the rarity. Most companys go by the main valuers and this can be a lot lower than say practical classics. Most of the cars in the club are probably worth between 17-22k i reckon

I would stick with agreed value every time , they may need to see a valuation from a car club or specialist, so if you need any help there please let me know buddy.

Salvage rights... i.e. you can buy back the 'wreck' afterwards ... probably worth something but check if you get that with the other policy anyway buddy.

Yes ... I have often wondered at what point does a car worth more in bits than it does as a whole

Thanks for the valuation letter Mike. I've emailed the letter scan to them, along with 6 pictures. I've gone for 17.5, which I reckon is a fair price for my car these days? - renewal price of £271 in the end. No salvage rights though, but can't see how this would be relevant to me given that I would choose time over money any day
