Hi Chaps,
I am having a bit of a nightmare with the DVLA and NOVA but I am wondering if anyone could help with one part of my problem.

I need to provide evidence of the vehicles age to get an age related licence plate. I am sure many of you would have done the same when importing. Firstly how did you prove the age other than showing a picture of the Vin? And secondly the DVLA said they would accept a letter from a Delorean club member stating the age related evidence of the car. Does any one have something like that they could post a link to?

Any info or help would be greatly received.

Now I'm Dutch (so other rules apply) but my car's paperwork (license registration) clearly states the car in an '81 model, and my car received its first Dutch plates in 1986. If that is not official I don't know what is.

I have my letter and Nova completion - Attempt number 2. Lets hope this one goes through!

I have just done this for my car. You do NOT need a letter from a club despite what anyone may tell you. They were happy with the California title and went with 1981 as the build year, rather than 1982 which was when it was first registered, giving me a W plate.

If anyone get's stuck with anything, just ask.

Loads of guys on here have imported cars, one or two over 3-4 cars.

I have spoken to the curator of the DeLorean Museum which holds just about every record there is, they can assist if needed.
