Was in Germany for the past 10 days and took a trip to Sinsheim to see the Concordes and their Delorean

The car is the exact same as mine. Anyone know the VIN?

I see they still have it between the tasteless caddy and the cowboy figure with that Indian girl...
They should place that D somewhere between some high tech cars and not next to the US Kitsch image....

The primary reason for my visit was to see the Tu 144. I have a PPL myself and I like old Soviet aircraft.

The Tu 144 is slightly larger than Concorde and has much bigger undercarriage. The interior layout is similar to Concorde but the wing is different.

The museum is a bit of an eclectic mix with dodgy mannequins all over the place. The Delorean is in a hall with other yank mobiles and WW2 junk.

Outside they have aircraft displayed on pedestals on the roof. It's actually exhausting to walk inside them due to the angle they're displayed!
In my opinion they should be displayed inside to protect them from the elements. Already the environment is taking its toll.

The D was in good condition. The headliner was sagging a bit but otherwise it was all intact.

Cheers. It even has the aerial on the fender like mine used to have. It's in great condition.

been a few times as its about 45 mins down the road from me, well worth a visit.
theres a real random mix of planes trains and automobiles.

the 2 SSTs on the roof is rather impressive

yes, its a rather steep hike to the cabin on both of them.

also worth checking out is its sister museum in speyer (about 30 mins from Sinsheim).

they have a 747 a u boat and the aerotest model of the russian space shuttle.

Was in Sinsheim myself this week on a round Europe trip in a £350 Celica. Thought the museum was great, there's just so much there, won't bore you all with all the photo's I took but one of the highlights for me was the 1976 Tyrrell P34 6-wheel F1 car.
