VW turbo VR6 goes in quite nicely:

Would think you'd get all manner of things to go in, but if your going big power, don't forget the brakes & suspension to go with it.
Can you imagine, even 300bhp in a D'
Truly terrifying, IMO

Just stick with the asthmatic ant , like Julian says
They don't handle that well and they don't stop like modern cars IMO

Easiest to fit convert is going to be one of the later PRVs, like the turbo ones from the Thema but good luck finding one. And still, not easy.

Something like the VW VR6 or Chevy LS1 (V8) would be epic, but reckon on a year's worth of solid engineering work!

TT has a very good point :D

LS1 and VR6 would be great, those are both really hi-spec installations. Love em.

Tho the DeLotus is also nice. Plenty of go, but I am not really sure how good and engine that is.

The scimitar guys have put a Lexus V8 and also a 3.6 Straight 6 from a 2002 TVR Tamora.

Lexus V8 4.0 quad cam 32 valve V8 basic dimensions:
Length : 655 mm
Height : 610 mm
Width: 620 mm
Weight : 177Kg (minus starter & flywheel)
Power : 256BHP -305BHP

TVR info -->

(tho maybe too long for a D???)

Cheers, I like this thread. (Tho I do agree with points made about brakes and suspension!!)

The best engine install I have ever seen in a D was Robert in Las Vegas with a Lotus v8 lump, very nice job and a great choice IMHO :)
