Seats creaking

Just been putting my seats back together now they have new covers, but the bloody things are creaking about and squeaking like mad, doing my head in
Its the vinyl cover rubbing on the plastic piece behind the adjuster knob. I've sprayed it with some silicon spray but the bloody thing won't shut up. I'm wondering if the covers have been fitted wrong? Does the vinyl on anyone else's tuck down behind the plastic piece?

I'll get a pic later. I recon the new covers have been pulled down lower than the originals, probably because the foam has shrunk over the years maybe.
I think I can fix it by cutting the plastic back a little bit so its not as hard up against the vinyl and maybe glue a strip of felt around the edge of the plastic.
These bloody cars do like to fight back

New covers are a bitch! It took 30 years for the delorean to get used to the ones it had.. So it will need some patience.
I suggest to to do any cutting. Those are so tightly fit, one bad move you will have a runner.... ( a tear that keeps moving.)
Rather spray some lube to minimize the noise. Not wd40. Something like lithium grease

my seats did squeak a bit, but I used some of Tony's Jizz on them and that sorted them right out!!!!

I went to do a bit this evening on the shitter. First thing I noticed is the numberplate has fallen off

Anyway, this is the problem with the seat, see the cover is behind the plastic piece and rubs. I think the seat cover shouldn't come down that low?

Nope, seat leather is fine. Just seems to have a hump there that rubs, try to straighten that out by pulling it down

Shaved a bit off the plastic pieces just now. See the before and after below: Hopefully this will stop the bastards creaking and squeeling, but I won't know until the morning when I put them back together. Weather it fixes it or not its tough as the seats have to go in so I can drive to Norfolk
