Today's joy!

I've been having a mission with 814 of late.

One otterstat failing, a new one failing to switch on, another failing to switch off, an escaping otterstat scalding me  a hazard switch needing rebuilt (stuck on!) . You get the idea...

Then, before a trek round the m25 with my kid, I noticed the drivers side front wheel sitting a bit further into the arch...

Sitting down??

I prepare for front suspension rebuild number 4...

Can we discuss replacements?

I was thinking to source oem and get them boxed, maybe asking Chris New if he had arms, or could source material and would plate them up for me. Then maybe powder coat.

Although this thread on dmctalk
http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?12697 ... gggg/page2

Suggests Heninger, DMC-MW, or DPI.

DPI bare arms are nice... but not exactly priced for the Scottish market...

Can't find a link to dmcmw. ..

Thoughts?? I wanted to buy a new guitar at some point. Looks like my rock star aspirations will just have to wait!

Cheers

Fortunately, you saw it before your ride!
Stainless or aluminum arm are really nice.
if you want cheaper, I think Ed Uding has some nice one to.

Ed's look good.

Tho at 300 quid a side, still not cheap... but with bushes and ready to go. No farking about!

My poly's and BJs have about 1000 miles on them. What do we think about pressing them out, and into the new arms??

Bad practice? Too Scottish?

I would also want to be sure they were Amsteer joints, and not dmch old stock...

I wonder if Ed would supply with polys fitted...? I quite liked them...

DPIs staines are nice. 460 quid plus tax and shipping.... probably not less than eds, but they are nice...

Anyone got them?

Or know if dave have has any oem?

How on earth does an LCA fail like that?! Anyone else seen a failure like that before?
