NEW DMC Side Stripes (Nearly OEM!)
Posted: Wed Sep 09, 2009 3:15 pmI've had a few people e-mailing me about these so I thought I'd post it on the Delorean Club 'EuroTec' Forum (hope that's ok)
I’m pretty excited as I just picked up a set of DMC side stripes from my sign writing chap that I’d been working on and they are a step closer to OEM stripes.
I managed to get them to recreate the original silver DMC logo on the front portion of the stripe rather than the more common approach of cutting out the ‘DMC’ to leave the stainless to show through.
I’m sure you’ll agree that these are much closer to the original design.
They are still made from hi-quality matt black vinyl, the only thing that really separates these from the originals is that the vinyl is not textured like the original; however I think the improvement in the logo it far more exciting than the texture issue.
Whole sets with instructions will be available within the next fortnight.
If you've already got a repro set? Don’t Worry….
Those who have bought my original sets and want to upgrade to the more OEM style can buy just the drivers and passenger side pieces with the new logo on.
Sorry I don’t know the full price just yet, but they are going to be very well priced!
