Hi guys not sure if anyone has any recommendations as I need to ship my new Shi**er to oz.
I have had a couple of quotes the first one is Anglo Pacific collecting from Canvey island at 3,150 pounds sorry no pound sign on my key board.
and the second one was about 1,300 pounds from Canvey island. so these prices are both for collection and port to port. just a bit unsure why there is a big difference. or if anyone has any other company they have used??
cheers
Tyson

Try Hill Shipping, a number of members have used them when importing their DeLoreans back from the USA.
http://www.hillshipping.com/contactFrom a personal experience I wasn't overly impressed with Transglobal the last time I used them. Lack of communication was very frustrating.

Hi Tyson
We have used Transglobal before for shipping cars from the US to UK and we have used Hill Shipping before also as Mike has suggested.
It would probably pay to contact Hill Shipping as they are fairly close to Canvey Island if I remember correctly?
Ask for Jamie, he was very helpful.
Cheers

As a fellow ex-pat with a non-UK keyboard I use ALT-156 to get the £ sign. See, like that
as in "Hold down the ALT key and press 1 5 6"

Hi,
I concur with Mike Ward, I wasn't impressed at all with Trans Global following an excessive wait followed by having to claim for the loaders at the dock in New York having put the forks of their forklift through the fibreglass tub of the drivers' and passengers footwell which was difficult experience. It resembled a Flintstones car!
Shortly after delivery Trans Global, then having their UK base in Bristol, seemed to either have been taken over or had a transformation and resurfaced with the current UK business based in Suffolk. Not sure how the current business stacks up to the former however. I would advise caution and to thoroughly check them out first.
Cheers
Gareth.
