although a B280 is slightly different from a B28E/F, because it's a later version it should go in if you can swap the ladder and sump over. It's probably better as well!!! EFI and even fire

guys at what year did volvo change to B280

the 760 facelift chanegs in 88 yeah?....this is up to 88 model has the grill at wipers , grooved bonnet at centre over grill..... : would be worth getting a pic of the engine.

Have to say though If I was fitting an engine Id go with the B280 also.

There is a shot of the engine in the YouTube video in the auction description. It's a B280

I was reading this old thread with usful information from cineman about using the B280 block with B28 guts:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1521&start=20

Looks like you can use the bare block and put everything out of an odd fire B28 into it, but you have to use the B280 liners and a differnt oil filter.

Dan,

As we briefly discussed at Eurotec, it would be nice to see a fully sorted UK based engine swap, we're not really that big on engine swaps over here and I know they're a heck of a lot of work, especially for the 1st person who does it, but there are so many engines for sale online and via scrap yards that there must be one suitable for transplant with some custom fabrication.

I know most are from cars where they are transverse mounted but, I've seen the VR6 swap in the states which looks pretty neat. You can find quite a number of relatively compact 3.2 Audi V6 engines for sale which would probably push a DeLorean along quite nicely.

All just hypothetical, but it wont be long before the PRV is extinct.
