Im sure we all know about these guys and how they always seem to have a few deloreans in various states of decay in their possession but, has anyone here actually dealt with them and bought a car from them?

Was it an easy smooth transaction, or are they not worth dealing with? I ask as there are currently 2 cars with my current price range that appear to need little doing to them besides hose changes and the like. 2 cars that i could honestly say i would consider buying if 1st impressions are anything to go by (in bhcc case, i doubt it).

I am dubious of their listings however. They say they are "mechanically sound" but is their defintion different to mine? To me thats says it runs and drives but to them it could mean it makes a noise when they hit the engine with a spanner.

I have emailed them regarding one of the cars so i guess i will have to see what they say

I emailed them once about one of their DeLoreans. They responded quickly and answered all my questions, pointing out various defects the car had. I didn’t purchase from them but it seemed like they weren’t trying to hide anything, at least on that car.

Theyve been pretty honest and upfront. Theyve just accepted my offer so now starts the process of payment and importing.

God this is both exciting and nerve wracking

So ive sent them a copy of my drivers license as ID. Im still waiting to hear back from them which i suspect is down to time zones.

Im hoping to get this paid for tonight or tomorrow so they can get it on what will be the slowest ship ever.

I take it i can specify it to be put in a container and strapped/secured etc. Once ive paid they will send the car to the dock and deal with the exporting (for a fee of course).

Im gonna ask for a copy of all the titles etc even though they are doing the work on their side of the pond for me

You would be best to reach out to Gary for info, if memory serves correctly he had them organise the shipping on his car.

I used my own shipping agent to have it collected (after they’d released / lost the car to there own agent by mistake!) and all paperwork sorted this end on my behalf. At the time BHCC didn’t offer handling paperwork this end.
