I got hit by a massive stone on the motorway the other day and the crack is growing. I think it's done.

What's the latest on replacement windscreens? I had a new one through autoglass in 2009, but at the time I remember there was only one guy there who knew how to do a DeLorean windscreen. Anyone had a replacement more recently than that and know what the shizzle is?

I had AutoGlass do mine 2 years ago, 2 week wait, no issues to speak off, it's not particularly challenging to fit.

My only disappointment was the quality of thr screen which has a slight ripple in the driver's eyeline, once you've spotted it you can't un-upot it.

Useful tip from http://support.delorean.com/kb/a74/windshields.aspx,

CAUTION: With the windshield removed and the doors open, the roof may actually sag slightly. If the new windshield is glued in place and allowed to cure with the doors open, you'll find that the doors do not close well any more. To prevent this, it is extremely important that you close the doors as soon as the glass is set in place, and keep them closed for at least 12 hours.

I did read you should prop the roof when doing it....re-enforced a bit here http://dmctalk.org/showthread.php?600-W ... eplacement

Bummer about your ripple James, I had the same in a previous car and you are right once you have seen it , it always catches your eye....

Yeah it's not bad enough to warrant changing it, I've no doubt I'll need another one at some point in the next few years anyway.
