Hi,

Here a few pictures of my DeLorean bought from the BHCC. I have bought it as a project and welcome your good and bad observations! The car will probably start its long journey to Swansea in the next 2 weeks.

I have more photos if any ones needs them!

Sam

Welcome to the club, looks nice.... few niggles but I suspect they knocked your price down and can be fixed easily enough. I have the same wing coming off mine to get the aerial put in and knock a dent out..Its fun getting that off.. Once off just post it to Chris N and he will post back shiny and new..

Welcome to the BHCC club. Yes chris n should be able to fix that front panel no problem.

Ive just found the original listing. I note they didnt state its mechanically sound so be warned, the engine may be seized. However, the engine bay looks pretty decent. I would advise changing them fuel lines.

Rear lights whilst faded are a simple fix. You can buy some paint from deloreango, so a cheap and easy fix.

Looks like a new fuel pump and other bits there will be ordered soon along with a tank cleanout.

Looks like the front suspension will need a good seeing too aswell.

Those look like original goodyear tyres too. They will need to go.

All in all, it looks to be a decent project. Hopefully the engine will be ok and i wish you luck. Any questions etc and we will help the best we can

I'm intrigued by what's happened down in the passenger footwell!

Thanks for all the feedback so far. The passenger footwell has me puzzled, it’s almost like it’s had water sitting in it.

It looks like its had water in there but the drivers side appears fine. It may just have a leak and will need to check it over as per the service bulletin. Could also be from the heater matrix... all speculation till you see it in person.

Do you know if any of the missing passenger door will be with the car?

Could be the heater matrix from the colour of the carpet.

I’m gonna say no on the door parts as ice not seen any photos.

Are there any threads or guides on what do with a car that's been parked up for awhile. My plan is to give it a major service, clean out the fuel tank, clean, replace lines etc but the fuel injection system seems to be a bit of black magic. I have seen you can buy all of the upgraded fuel lines on the club shop website.

The first thing you need to find out is if your Engine turns over by hand. Do not attempt to start it by the key until you have cleaned the fuel tank and flushed all the lines. 35mm nut on the crank shaft. If your car is manual you could try to see if it "rocks" so the engine is turning over?.
