Getting a D delivered within the UK

Hey folks does anyone have tips for a car delivery firm, maybe even one that’s used to moving DeLoreans? The one I hope to buy is prohibitively far from me and I’d like to get delivery arranged instead.

Cheers!

Bandit - Up North! to Surrey.

Mike - Sorry did you already send me that guy’s contact? Apologies if I missed it. Will give him a bell thanks. You know people who have used him?

I second Chris Huxtable. He’s a well trusted and reliable source in the DeLorean community. Highly recommend.

Pic below is when he picked up mine and Arran’s car when we wanted them ‘posted’ special delivery to Chris N’s workshop. :)

Yes - and that was in the "rough end" of Dereham ;) , so he'd have no problem going "up north".

When you say ‘up north’ ? If you’re in Surrey, up north is anywhere past Watford. I get it you southern mob get a nose bleed past Newport Pagnell
I have a guy who has transported me quite a few cars (he does it as a business, not some weekend warrior) & he also moved my D’ when I sold it to the new owner, not that far from Dereham
But up north is just a tad vague

Fair! I have mates in Sheffield and hull and so I’m used to calling that up north, but that far north is what I meant, being vague in case the seller doesn’t want me to discuss. Chris H looks like the man for the job, also I’m not from Surrey, I’ve been past that sign in Watford that reads “here be dragons” that’s meant to keep us lot out ;)

The reason I ask is, the guy I use is in Ripley. (Not far from me J28, M1) he picked my D’ up from mine , took it to Norwich to the new owner, £250 Which I thought was pretty damn cheap. It’s a good 7 hrs round trip. The point I was trying to get over is that if the guy who does it is pretty close to the car in the first place the cost will obviously be lower. If someone has to travel 3 hrs to get to the car to start with, he ain’t doing it for nowt
