OMG
Dutch customs found a package for me containing a single relay worth no more $3. They decided to hold it until i could provide a bill or receipt of the purchage, and now they prolly want to charge me for taxes on a FUCKING REPLACEMENT PART.
Oh and btw: Speedhut had to pay $26.60 on fees to get it shipped using USPS Priority Mail (said so on the slip).
What is the world coming to...

Bunch of jobsworths who work for the govornment - especially the tax man.
I've got problems with UK Customs on one of my DeLoreans. They're witholding my tax receipt on the basis that I need to prove it was manufactured in the UK. No amount of suggesting they simply google" DeLorean" or even look at the international vin number standard (SC means it was made in the UK) seems to convince them. They obviously feel particularly comfortable, sitting on my paperwork.
In the UK at least, the only people worse than the tax man are the bloody DVLA.

especially the tax man
My father was a taxman and a bloody good one too, in 33 years he only had 14 days off sick..... they are only carrying out the governments instructions and laws.
Someone has to do it.

Well, no they aren't. If they were, they wouldn't have "lost" the proof I submitted in the first place when I arranged RGR on the very fist DeLorean which I've referred back to on each subsequent one since.

I agree with most of the above, but a $3 part is in no way in relation to the amount of work/time/effort they put in it. Well I guess that's bureaucracy for you.
